On the other hand, there are a huge number of over the counter anabolic supplements that are often referred to as legal steroids because they mimic the effects of real steroids. Are these anabolics truly legal steroids as some claim?

Many of the recent anabolic supplements such as Superdrol, Phera Plex and others were created to be similar to controlled anabolic steroids such as Masteron. While it is illegal under the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004 to sell substances that are chemically similar to banned steroids, many of the supplements coming to market in the past several years are still analogs of anabolic steroids, in effect legal steroids.

One major problem with the creation of this new class of legal steroids is that they are often methylated compounds, meaning they use a methyl bond in the chemical structure to increase the absorption of the compound. While this may be great for your results and mass gains it is horrible for your health, especially that of your liver. The methyls in these compounds cause your liver to work way to hard to cleanse the body and can result in permanent liver damage if you believe some sources.

I have my doubts that the short cycles most guys use with these legal steroids can cause permanent liver damage. It is always pointed out that liver enzyme levels rise when taking methylated anabolics, but I would expect that your liver enzymes would be elevated while the liver is working so hard to clear the compounds out of your system. This does not mean that damage is being done in my opinion.

Another problem with the new class of legal steroids is their easy availability. While I believe you can safely take both these compounds and actual anabolic steroids safely, I also believe that to do so properly requires a certain amount of knowledge of physiology in general and your own bodies reactions in particular. I would be willing to guess that many of the guys taking these anabolics have no idea what they do to the body, how to counteract the negative effects and how to re-balance their hormones when coming off the legal steroids.

If you feel that it is necessary for you to take legal steroids to reach your bodybuilding goals then by all means do, but please do so safely. Take the time to learn about the compounds you’re planning on taking and how they affect your body. Learn what warning signs to look out for and what to do if you run into problems. And be sure to learn how to use post cycle therapy properly when discontinuing the use of legal steroids. This will help you to bring your hormones back into balance and will also help you keep the gains you made while taking the legal steroid.

Once you’re informed and prepared for the experience you can feel safe using the newest anabolic supplements. Don’t expect to add 30 pounds of muscle in a month, but it is quite usual for lifters to be able to add 10 pounds in a month and increase their core lifts by anywhere from 10-15%.

Adding legal steroids or anabolics to your arsenal of muscle building processes is a very good move. Today’s anabolics when used with knowledge are quite safe for most men and the results they give are superior to simple creatine supplementation. If you haven’t already made the leap you should learn more about anabolic supplements and see if they are right for you.

The review from Culver claims that Orafinadrol-50 can be used for size and strength with rapid weight gain being the most noticable effect. I find this hard to believe coming from a Tren like compound since Tren is a cutting steroid, not a bulking steroid. It should be very good for strength gains though if the claims of the company are true.

Another quote from Culver is “And like other compounds of this nature, OFD-50 was created to impart maximal visible changes in size and strength in the shortest period of time possible. Again, these are very dry and solid changes because the compound does not aromatize into any type of estrogen.”

Finigenx hasn’t been a huge hit, but some people swear by it for it’s strength imparting properties. There has been discussion regarding the bodies ability to convert estra-4,9-diene-3,17-dione into anything your body can use, but I haven’t seen anything conclusive one way or another. One complaint about Finigenx was that it was so expensive, but Orafinafdrol-50 is both cheaper and double the potency so we may have something worthwhile here.

17 alpha alkylation refers to the addition of an alkyl group (either a methyl or ethyl) to the alpha position of the 17 carbon in the steroid backbone. Since the addition is typically a methyl many people call this change methylation. By adding this methyl group at the 17a position the major route of androgen deactivation is avoided. The additional methyl stops the oxidation of the steroid to a 17-keto steroid. This allows a large part of the steroid to avoid the first pass metabolism and degradation in the liver.

Examples of 17a methylated steroids are methyltestosterone. Oxymetholone and Norethandrolone (Nilevar). Some 17a methylated designer steroids are Superdrol, Halodrol and Phera-Plex.

Methylation or 17a alkylation is a very effective way to make steroids orally active. Unfortunately it does suffer from some drawbacks as well. 17a methylated steroids are all toxic to the liver to some extent. By avoiding the first pass metabolism the liver is not allowed to do its job properly and has to work harder to metabolize the compounds. An increase in liver enzyme values is not unusual when using 17a methylated steroids.

Jaundice is not uncommon and should be watched for when using methylated steroids or designer supplements. Usually this condition is only seen in individuals who are predisposed to liver problems. The danger in 17a alkylated steroids is not trivial, however since they are very potent anabolic agents, and in the case of the designers the only legal route available, many continue to use them.

Becoming aware of the dangers associated with the use of methylated steroids is the first step in responsible use. Liver protection should also be used any time a 17a alkylated steroid is used. And smart bodybuilders will also keep tabs on their liver enzyme values through frequent bloodtests.

I do not condone the use of these 17a methylated steroids, nor would I recommend that anyone use them. The potential toxicity and dangers represented are not worth the benefits gained. Everyone is different and you should learn as much as you can about any substance you are considering taking so that you can make an educated and informed decision.

That being said, many people use these and consider them safe for short periods of time i.e. 3-4 weeks.

Since then there have been many clones and efforts to reproduce the effectiveness of Halodrol-50 with varying success. Gaspari actually released a new (an much inferior) Halodrol liquigels that is still available today.

One of the top choices for a Halodrol-50 replacement is called Chlorodrol-50 which is said to contain the exact same ingredient (4-chlorodehydromethylandrost-4-ene-3, 17BDiol) as the Gaspari Halodrol-50.

With Chlorodrol-50 you can expect great gains with little side effects as it does not aromatize to estrogen. This also means you’ll avoid any bloating and any gains you make will be pure muscle that won’t disappear once you stop taking the product.

In the current world of supplements this is one of the tops for gaining strength and size without being illegal. That’s right this is one of the last of the legal steroids being sold today. Most users begin to see changes with just 3 days of beginning use and they will continue to gain size and strength every single workout. In addition, it is common to have increased hardness and vascularity when using Chlorodrol-50.

Two additional benefits are increased cardiovascular capacity and decreased fat held under the skin and especially around the midsection. The combination of the two makes this a great cutting agent.

By adding a methyl group to Epitiostanol chemists have made it a different compound and therefore it is not covered under current laws. This group of now legal steroids have long lasting and strong anti-estrogen effects and are considered to be weak androgens.

Because of the anti-estrogen effects of epistane you can expect very dry gains with little to no water retention. Because it is a weak androgen you should experience little to no side effects such as gyno and hair loss. Epistane does not suppress the gonads and you shouldn’t see much if any shrinkage. It has also been shown to maintain high LH levels and some users report that it is even effective in reducing existing gyno.

Because of the above mentioned properties I would consider using epistane as a cutting agent to maintain strength and lean mass while dieting. However, that does not mean it wouldn’t make a good bulking compound. The benefit here would be that any gains would be lean gains and users reports gains of 5-10 pounds in a month of using epistane. Because it is so dry most of the gains are kept once the cycle is ended.

Most users are dosing epistane from 10-60 mgs a day for a maximum of 6 weeks. You should no continue using this legal steroid for longer than 6 weeks. Remember, epistane is methylated so both dosage and time on cycle should be adhered to. A beginners dosing schedule might look like this:

Week 1: 10 mgs for the first 3 days then increasing the dose to 20 mgs.

Week 2: 20 mgs

Week 3: 30 mgs

Week 4: 40 mgs- This week is optional and depends on how your body reacts.

Even though the side effects associated with epistane are small I would still consider using support supplements while on cycle and running a complete and proper post cycle therapy at the conclusion of your cycle.

Based on user feedback I think that the legal steroid epistane can be a great tool to help athletes add lean mass and/or maintain strength and mass when cutting. It may be quite beneficial as part of a stack with another, non-methylated legal steroid such as 1,4 AD or Mega TRN. Since epistane is already methylated itself I would avoid other methylated designer legal steroids such as Superdrol and Halodrol and their clones.

Serious amateur bodybuilders have been flocking to the newest legal steroids such as Androstenedione ( andro), 1-AD,1-test and 4-Androstenedione and more recently to such great supplements as Superdrol, Halodrol and Phera-Plex.  When used correctly these legal alternatives to steroids can be both safe and effective in boosting muscle recovery, strength and size.

The very first legal steroids were actually prohormones and they were popularized by the East Germans.  Androstenedione is considered the first of these prohormones and it works by being converted by the liver to actual testosterone.  It was in this way that illegal steroids were avoided and athletes were able to boost their testosterone levels through the means of legal steroids.

After Andro came many other prohormones over the past decade.  On January 20th, 2005 the US Federal Gorvenment’s ban on prohormones, including Androstenedione, took effect.   There are new legal steroid alternatives being introduces literally every month now as the governments try to shut down each new compound.  So far they have not been successful.

There is much debate over the safety and efficacy of these new legal steroid products as most of them come to the market untested and with no way to determine possible short term and long term side effects.  In fact, the athlete’s themselves are now the guinea pigs for testing these substances and many do so gladly in the hopes of adding an additional 5 or 10 pounds of muscle.

While this is definitely not the best way, it will continue I’m sure as we athletes can be quite fanatical.  The best you can do is to find as much information as possible before beginning with any of the new legal steroids.  Have blood tests done before, during and after your cycle to make sure you aren’t doing any harm to your body.  Take auxiliary supplements to help protect your liver and to avoid possible estrogen bounce back.

I know very well that as long as supplements are being promoted to help increase strength and muscle there will be people that take them even though there is scant information available about them.  All I ask is that you do as much research as possible when trying out the latest legal steroids.  And please avoid them completely if you’re under the age of 21.

The active ingredient in Promagnon-25 is not the same as that in Halodrol-50 however. Halodrol-50 contains and additional 1-ene, making it a -diene while Promagnon-25 lacks this 1-ene. Halodrol-50 is basically a methylated version of Oral Turanibol. Promagnon-25 is methyl-test also known as clostebol or Megagrisevit Mono.

Promagnon 25 will give consistent dry hard mass gains as well as incredible strength gains. It also has very mild side effects for most people, many of which are positive side effects such as libido increases and feelings of well being.

Great gains, body recomposition, mild side effects. You couldn’t ask for more from a legal steroid.

Promagnon-25 should give similar results to Halodrol-50 as both compounds tend to give lean dry mass gains with very few if any side effects. If this works in a similar fashion to clostebol then side effects are very rare because clostebol does not reduce to DHT and it does not aromatize. This rids us of most of the side effects associated with strong steroids and testosterone.

Promagnon-25: 4-chloro-17a-methyl-androst-4-ene-3,17b-diol (25mg)

One positive thing Webber Pharmaceuticals has done with this legal steroid is to add ingredients that provide liver protection. It has been shown that 2a-17a-dimethyl-5a-androst-3-one is very harsh on liver enzymes and lipids. Unfortunately many people won’t take the time to research proper on cycle protection. And since you will not SEE any physical effects from the stress on your liver many people decide not to spend their money to prevent something they can’t see/feel happening.

“12 oxodrol will tighten your tummy and help you 10-15lbs of rock solid muscle in one cycle.”

That is the claim on Webber Pharaceuticals website. Is it true? Yes it is. I have personally put on 12 lbs in a 5 week cycle and kept 10 of those post-cycle. And others have reported the same increases in lean mass. But it IS necessary to have a proper PCT if you want to keep your gains.

What Can You Expect From OXODROL 12?

It will take between 4-7 days for the effects of this prohormone to begin, but once they do you will see strength increases consistently during every workout. In addition, you will begin to add new muscle about 7-10 days after beginning Oxodrol 12. The gains in both strength and mass will be dramatic and consistent and will also be dry gains without excess water weight.

Make sure when taking this legal steroid that you are eating enough especially carbs. If you keep your protein intake around 1.5g per lb of bodyweight that should be sufficient, but you must also keep your carb intake high to avoid hypoglycemia. This prohormone seems to make the muscles soak up glycogen like a sponge.

You can find the recommended doses of Oxodrol below. Personally I think they are a bit high. Most users shouldn’t need to go beyond 3 caps per day and many will find that they make good gains with just 2 caps per day. Remember, if it is working well increasing the dose doesn’t always make it work better. Sometimes it just leads to unneccessary side effects. I also would avoid this prohormone if you’re cutting.

Furazadrol is non-methylated which is alway a good thing and it is said that it is producing very hard and vascular muscle with no bloat. What a perfect compound to add to your summer cut. Seems that it works similarly to the now discontinued Prostanazol which was one of my favorites because it gave you the same hard vascular look that is being promised from Furazadrol without any side effects.
