Masteron is a steroid used as a cutter, similar to Winstrol. Masteron is not clinically used for weight gain (as is common with most steroids), so this makes it a very unique steroid from that perspective. Unfortunately, much of the information on Masteron available in medical journals doesn’t focus on weight or strength gain or even fat loss, for those reasons. Masteron is used primarily by athletes who need to retain strength while losing mass. It is beneficial to runners and athletes who must remain in a certain weight class.

Other than building lean muscle, Masteron can also be used to increase aggression and is normally stacked with Testosterone. Masteron is not hepatoxic so liver damage is quite unlikely and there is little concern stress will be placed on this organ, even during longer cycles. High blood pressure and gynecomastia are not a problem since neither water nor salt retention occurs and the estrogen level remains low. The only prominent side effects stem from the basic androgenic properties of dihydrotestosterone. Possible side effects include acne, accelerated hair loss, and increased aggression. Masteron is moderately anabolic, low androgenic steroid. Methylation makes it orally active.

Masteron is a popular steroid among competitive bodybuilders. Masteron is likewise generally used a number of weeks prior to a competition, in an effort to bring out an improved look of density and hardness to the muscles. For this purpose Masteron should work exceptionally well so long as the body fat percentage is low enough. Masteron is almost exclusively used during the last 4-5 weeks before a bodybuilding show at a dose of 100-mg every second day. Additionally, according to available literature, Masteron is not much of a mass drug, and it’s always used for cutting, from what I’ve seen reported.

Masteron is an injectable preparation containing the steroid drostanolone propionate. Drostanolone is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone, most specifically 2alpha-methyldihydrotestosterone. This causes the Masteron not to aromatize in any dosage and thus, it cannot be converted into estrogens. Masteron is also known as 2-alpha-methyl DHT, or DHT with an extra 2-alpha-methyl group.

Drostanolone was also once popular with athletes who were subject to drug testing, as for a period of time this compound was not screened for during competition. The urinary metabolites of drostanolone were recognized by the early 90′s however, and this drug now joins a long list of anabolic/androgenic steroids identifiable during urinalysis testing.

Masteron is a steroid highly valued by competing bodybuilders. The great popularity of this injectable steroid in bodybuilder circles is due to the extraordinary characteristics of its included substance. Masteron is a favorite of athletes with preexisting gynecomastia and those who want to avoid water retention. Drostanolone has a short half life therefore frequent administrations are required, this also makes it suitable for tested athletes – as long as they discontinue Masteron two weeks prior to urine analysis they should have no problem passing.
