Serious amateur bodybuilders have been flocking to the newest legal steroids such as Androstenedione ( andro), 1-AD,1-test and 4-Androstenedione and more recently to such great supplements as Superdrol, Halodrol and Phera-Plex.  When used correctly these legal alternatives to steroids can be both safe and effective in boosting muscle recovery, strength and size.

The very first legal steroids were actually prohormones and they were popularized by the East Germans.  Androstenedione is considered the first of these prohormones and it works by being converted by the liver to actual testosterone.  It was in this way that illegal steroids were avoided and athletes were able to boost their testosterone levels through the means of legal steroids.

After Andro came many other prohormones over the past decade.  On January 20th, 2005 the US Federal Gorvenment’s ban on prohormones, including Androstenedione, took effect.   There are new legal steroid alternatives being introduces literally every month now as the governments try to shut down each new compound.  So far they have not been successful.

There is much debate over the safety and efficacy of these new legal steroid products as most of them come to the market untested and with no way to determine possible short term and long term side effects.  In fact, the athlete’s themselves are now the guinea pigs for testing these substances and many do so gladly in the hopes of adding an additional 5 or 10 pounds of muscle.

While this is definitely not the best way, it will continue I’m sure as we athletes can be quite fanatical.  The best you can do is to find as much information as possible before beginning with any of the new legal steroids.  Have blood tests done before, during and after your cycle to make sure you aren’t doing any harm to your body.  Take auxiliary supplements to help protect your liver and to avoid possible estrogen bounce back.

I know very well that as long as supplements are being promoted to help increase strength and muscle there will be people that take them even though there is scant information available about them.  All I ask is that you do as much research as possible when trying out the latest legal steroids.  And please avoid them completely if you’re under the age of 21.

The three compounds in Sostonol 250 are:

• 4-Androstene-4-chloro-17a-methyl-3b,17b-diol
• 2á, 17á-dimethyl-17â-hydroxy-5á-androstan-3-one
• 17á-methyl-17â-hydroxy-5á-androst-2-ene

These three compounds are more commonly known as Halodrol, Superdrol and Phera-Plex. Each of them individually can give significant strength and mass gains. The combination of all three is nothing short of amazing.

By combining these three legal steroids with heavy training and proper nutrition you should see gains of 10-15 lbs in 4 weeks time. Additionally, your strength will increase at every workout for every bodypart.

In addition, Webber Pharmaceuticals has added 3 herbs that function to block and remove liver enzymes making this anabolic more biologically active in your body. They claim increases in effectiveness of up to 40%.

Finally, their proprietary Testopen has been added to maintain natural testosterone production and maximize your metabolism for increased fat burning. Since they don’t list the amounts of individual ingredients I’m not sure how effective this blend is. And it is commonly accepted that you will experience some degree of HPTA shutdown on these compounds. For most users this will occur between 3-4 weeks after beginning use. The Testopen blend may delay this or possibly make recovery faster, but a proper post cycle therapy should be followed in any case.

Webber Pharmaceuticals claims that side effects from Sostonol 250 are mild, but I would disagree. Both the Halodrol and the Phera-Plex componenets should give mild side effects, but the Superdrol component can be difficult for some. I would expect some mild water retention from the Phera-Plex. Additionally, all three of these legal steroids can lead to some increased aggression and increased sex drive. All three will also provide a sense of well being. Finally, some users have experienced hair loss, acne and gyno especially from the Superdrol.

Do not use this multiple compound supplement if you are not experienced with legal steroids and prohormones since you will not be able to determine which compound is causing any potential side effects if you have not used any of these three anabolic products previously.

Recommended dosages are 1 capsule per day for athletes under 200 lbs and 2 capsules per day for athletes over 200 lbs. Remember that less is sometimes more. If you are getting good gains from 1 capsule per day DO NOT increase your dose. You will not double the effects you are seeing, but will more likely increase the side effects of the supplement.

Phera-Plex is the end result of over one year of development by Designer Supplements. The active ingredient is a pheromone with considerable anabolic activity. Designer Supplements has succeeded in making this pheromone orally bioavailable and more effective.

Phera-Plex is a highly androgenic legal steroid. So users will experience increased strength, increased vascularity and pumps, a hardening of their muscles, an ability to focus more clearly and increased libido. Negative side effects such as loss of hair or prostate problems appear to be minimal for most users although I can report that I have had some prostate sensitivity after about 4 weeks of Phera-Plex usage, but this was not a problem because it went away almost immediately after stopping Phera-Plex.

The active ingredient does not convert to estrogen so no negative effects such as gyno will be experienced and since Phera-Plex is more androgenic than anabolic users do not experience increased aggression. As long as you do not have problems with androgenic legal steroids you should feel great while on Phera-Plex.

For most people 10-20mg daily will be an effective dose, making Phera-Plex quite cost effective as well. Remember as with all legal steroids more will not always be a good thing. There is a point of diminishing returns with the gains as well as a point where the side effects tend to multiply. So, start with 10mg and ramp up slowly.

You really don’t want to run Phera-Plex for longer than 4 weeks because of it’s androgenic side effects. If you want to run a full 8 week cycle you can stack Phera-Plex with Superdrol. This works very well due to Superdrols anabolic to androgenic ratio. Run Phera-Plex for 3 weeks at full dose, then overlap with Superdrol for 2 weeks with both at a medium dose. Finally finish up with Superdrol for 3 weeks at a full dose.

As with all legal steroids make sure to run a complete post cycle therapy following to bring your natural testosterone production back to normal.
