What is Epistane?
Epistane is the name given by IBE (Innovative Body Enhancement) to their version of the methylated version of the steroid epitiostanol. Both are designed as aromatase inhibitors (AI) to combat excess estrogen, however they also have fairly strong anabolic properties and can be said to contribute to both lean body mass and strength gains in most users.
The chemical name for Epistane is: 2a-3a-epithio-17a-methyl-5a-androstan-17b-ol.
Epistane works as more than an AI because not only will block estrogen, but it also binds with androgen receptors in the body which produces a pro-anabolic state. The combination of the anti-estrogen and pro-anabolic effects create dry lean muscle mass gains with a minimum amount of side effects. Additionally the degree of shutdown experienced while on Epistane is reported to be minimal since natural estrogen is being effectively managed.
Because of the “dry” effect of Epistane it can be very useful when combined with other “wet” anabolics to decrease their side effects and increase your gains. Of course it can also be a useful bridge compound going into post cycle therapy. If you’re looking to leaning out and making your muscles appear harder then Epistane might be just what you’re looking for.
Reported effects of Epistane:
- Incredible Strength Gains
- Dry, Lean Mass Gains
- Gynocomastia Protection
- Increased Libido (interestingly some people that use other companies versions of epitiostanol report a loss in libido)
- Increased Training Intensity and Sense of Well-Being
- In Some, Reductions in Gynocomastia!
Typical Epistane Cycle
A typical cycle of Epistane lasts 3-5 weeks and has a range of dosages around 20-40mg. Most people run a cycle similar to 20/30/30/40 or some variation. Others, looking for large mass gains, are running 40mg for 4 weeks or more. It is important to ramp up the dosage in the beginning, even if only for a few days.
